University and College Affiliations
University Community Hospital, UCH-Carrollwood, and Pepin Heart Hospital & Dr. Kiran C. Patel Research Institute are truly proud to maintain affiliations with universities, colleges, and high schools around the state of Florida. Through these collaborations, we are able to offer students and our own staff an opportunity for growth as well as excellent clinical experiences.

University of South Florida (USF)

• USF Research Assistant Residency
• Clinical Nurse Leader Program-UCH participated in curriculum development and pilot-our UCH candidate is currently doing a residency program on 5 Main
• Adjunct Faculty-many of our staff serve as adjunct faculty at USF
• UCH participation with USF in certified nurse administrator program
• USF Clinical Collaborative-accelerated RN Program Students at UCH-C, UCH serves on the advisory board
• New CRNA Program Fall ’06-UCH serves on the advisory board

• HCC grant-allowed 16 UCH staff who have prerequisites completed to immediately attend nursing school
