Dear Colleague,
 
Welcome to nursing at University Community Hospital. We are a four-hospital system with five renowned Centers of Excellence. This, combined with our cutting edge technology, makes us a leader in health care in the Tampa Bay area.
 
I am very pleased and proud to share our nursing website with you. This is an exciting time to be a part of the nursing profession, particularly here at University Community Hospital, where we provide quality, compassionate care that is committed to putting our Patients First.  Please spend a few minutes on our website by clicking on the links to the left, and allow me to share some of the great things we do!
 
Let me start by saying we have some of the best nurses around! University Community Hospital offers rewarding and diverse career opportunities, superior benefits, and excellent options for personal and professional development. We offer an innovative Clinical Advancement Recognition Program (CARP), which rewards nurses both monetarily and professionally for participation. Our nurses enjoy the support and nurturing environment of a nursing department driven by its mission, vision, and values. We offer our nurses award and recognition programs, participation in decision making, a collaborative practice environment with the high standards you would expect from an organization preparing to launch its Magnet journey.  We actively participate in nursing research through our Nursing Research and Evidence-Based Practice Council, and are very proud of our nurses who have had their articles and poster presentations accepted at the local and national level. As you can see, we are an organization where nursing is valued and respected.
